Where does everyone buy their parts for their computers? I bought the parts for my computer at directron.com. I've also seen the sites such as tigerdirect.com, newegg.com, and googlegear.com. Which store has the best prices as well as the best/fastest service. Looking at the prices, it seems like I spent a little too much money on my computer when i bought the pieces from directron.

I've bought from all 4 of the vendors you've listed. You just have to shop around and compare prices, They have never given me any problems.

I have used Newegg, Googlegear,Jab-tech, Mwave,Excaliber, and Ajump. They all have good reselleratings. Before I order I always check their price plus shipping. Sometimes the site with the best price will kill you with shipping. Also, some tack on a handling fee. This is also good to know before ordering. It takes a little extra time to check each site, but I think it is worth it to know you got the best price.

thanks. of all of the ones i've seen, it seems like newegg is the least organized, but it also seems that they really have good prices.

I use newegg most of the time. Mwave seems to have high shipping compared to newegg.

I buy from NewEgg all the time. They are almost always the best price and you can't beat their shipping. They are the best.

Newegg 80%
Mwave 19% Others 1% Mwave is an actual store, with a big ole warehouse full of 'stuff', whereas Newegg is a drop shipper. Might not make a difference anymore but if I've gotta get something overnighted and wanna be absolutely sure that it's gonna be sent today, I'll go to Mwave since they actually have the stuff in stock rather than being a 'middle man' of sorts. Mwave also carries older components longer than Newegg does. For instance Socket 370 mobos/CPUs. |
