It only works in a full window. If you click on the link here it may not work. So hit you home button and then the back button.

I do not see what is unusual about it.

I did. If you follow the instructions you will see what he's talking about.

I did follow his instructions.
All I saw was a page with a stationary background image and the rest of the page moves over the top of it.

I saw the page open up from the center and then close into the center.

Never saw that before... I thought it was kinda cool. Don't just click on the link, copy it, open a new browser window maximized, paste in the link and go.

At least they gave credit for where the webmaster ripped the dHTML script from .. hope the firm didnt get ripped off

Incidentally .. the page transition is one of those things that M$ Frontpage uses for proprietary IE browsers .. part of the enable page transitions package of the IE experience!

Seen loads of that .. when DHTML was hot [not anymore]

If u wanna know how proprietary the code is .. check out NS or opera on that page .. heheheh yellow bckground .. no pix

Originally I opened it with Windows ME & IE 5.5.I tried it in Linux & Netscape 6.0. The page loaded like a normal page but the light bulb was in the top left corner not the center. Still like to see new stuff even if it is proprietary, Thanks once again Mr. Static.

Thats basically what happens when u've got a script kiddie for a webdesigner & cant code cross-browser even if they are ripping off from a site [www.dynamicdrive.com]!
Then again .. a Frontpage "coder" ?!?!?!?!?!

The static background, called "watermarking", is standard HTML, though it works only in IE (NS just ignores it). Rather than script it, you can just put this in the body tag:

bgproperties="fixed"

The effects on page entry and exit are provided (again only in IE) via "filters" -- about which you can read more, here:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/workshop/A...evealTrans.asp

You'll also find scripts that duplicate some of these in NS at http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex3/index.html
