MS IE Network Connection

I am running Win XP Home and MS IE. My Firewall is Zone Alarm Free Ed. When ever I block traffic and then release the block and go to IE, I have to then go to Control Panel-Lpcal Network Connection-Repair in order for IE to access the Internet. It appears I am losing my DNS lease each time. This was also happening when I was using Norton's Firewall which I ditched to isolate the issue. Any thoughts out there? Thanks!

Cool

Is the XP firewall active? You don't need the ZA with XP.
