IE question

Is there anyway to "lock out" the status bar to keep it from lshowing up at the bottom sof the screen when IE is brought up to?

Sometimes is does not come up but oftentimes it comes up and I have to manually turn it off in the view menu.

Just a nuisance, not a major problem.

Unchecking it in the view menu is suppose to stop it. I don't know of a setting to lock it.

I couldn't find a lockout setting either. Searched the MS knowledge base but nothing there.

It may stay off for several days and then all of a sudden it will come up every time IE starts and will do that for the next 10 times, turn off manually and up it comes again. Then for no reason, it may not come back up for a week.

Some person I used to work with said computers are the instruments of the devil. I have to agree.

LOL , I don't know about being instruments of the devil, but sometimes they seem to have a mind of their own.
