Setting IE up
Hey, I just reformatted my old gateway, installed windows 98 & drivers and all that stuff, but am now clueless as to how to get my internet back up. I'm on DSL from Alltell, so what do I do now? Thanks.

Install the driver for your network card and follow these instructions. Let us know if you need more help.

There's 2 types of DSL line: ADSL = Asynchronous Digital Subscriber Line, Which had much faster download speeds than upload speeds.. SDSL = Synchronous Digital Subscriber Line, Same speed in both directions.. You won't really really see SDSL for residential use, it's quite expensive. What U need to know if U don't have a disk from Alltel is what protocol is your DSL. (ie. PPPOE), That determines how U set it up, and I'm assuming U have 1 PC hooked direct into the DSL modem and no router inbetween...
