crcmapper posted this in the Networking forum, and just in case some of you don't check that forum, I thought it'd be worthwile to take a look, especially if you have PPPoE DSL.

He and I have both done this successfully. Download speeds and latency have improved for me as well. This is a great way to eliminate buggy PPPoE software, and get a router for free .
