I've been recruited to do a zine for a writers' forum.
One of my vague interactivity ideas is: click on a map & a counter updates how many members from that country/continent. Any suggestions for how to do this, or an alternative to give the same results? |

give nedstat a look. http://www.nedstat.com/usa/f80006e80004_index.htm
It gives you alot of info about who visits your site and it's free and the best part is you can access it from a very small blue icon on your page If you want a free counter as well as vivitor statistics look at http://linux46.dn.net/tracker/ again very small and no ads and free

will look at your suggestions
From input I've received, the best way for me to report how many writers from different nations are reading the zine is to use one of the recommended stat reports and enter the count by hand.
Hey, programmers, here's a niche not being filled. I put the project on the back burner, due to the group stalling. They wanted me to design the site when they haven't even decided on a name for their zine yet. I explained how much effect it had on the design. They went into eternal discussion mode. Today I set Monday as their deadline. It's a project I have a lot of ideas for...if they get the preliminaries done. Group projects are tough. |
