Can anyone advise how to stop being booted out by my isp after being inactive for a mere 10minutes?
I have heard that there is a downloadable software that "pings" the isp and fools it into thinking that you are being active? All ideas are greatefully received! |

Just set your e-mail software to check your e-mail every 5 minutes and leave it running minimized.

Adjunga.com has the software you are looking for. There are many others as well. Try searching winfiles.com

Does your ISP really boot you off after only 10 minutes? I would be looking for another ISP. In the meantime do what glc suggests, it is the easiest and quickest solution.

Thanks a lot you guys, the email idea works a treat, and I'll go have a look at the websites too.
The ISP I'm using costs me absolutely nothing in subscriptions and is unmetered 24/7, all I pay is £10 per month minimum for phone calls, which I will use anyway, so you may uderstand my reluctance to change ISP's! |
