Question OE attachments unsafe

I have a customer that gets an error when trying to open an attachment. It says "OE removed access to the following unsafe attachments in your mail" I unchecked the box in the Options/Security tab that prevents potential virus attachments but it came back up with a check in the box a few days later. Also, he has an EDU website that he can't access. This is the only website he can't access no matter what the security is set to. I put the site in his trusted sites list. This only worked temporarily.

I just encountered the same problems on my own PC. I can go anywhere except Microsoft.com.

I run WinME, the customer runs 98SE. Both run IE6. Any ideas ?

Yeah, I find it extrememly annoying that this is enabled by default.

Tools > Options > "Security" tab > uncheck "Do not allow attachments..."
