Pissed Smarter

There is a site called http://sidebar.smarter.com/ with a push to install on your computer in memory. the problem is trying to remove it permanetly without have to revamp os. Have tried several times to remove it from registry file. Went thru and deleted everything assoicated with this smarter.com. It still returns. Rebooting computer after reg file has been cleaned. Please reply to any suggestions on removing this irritating site. Thank you Metaldragon

Smashing job dear boy. Have you tried the windows search window. I used to have gator client junk that would appear out of no where. But when you hit Ctrl_Alt_Del you can see that its running. If you dont know where its comming from. Just search for it and it's associated files. Open up a serach window for winidows and type in the name and see if you find anything. Good luck.

Get ad-aware from lavasoft and spybot.
Run these 2 programs to rid your computer of any and all malware and spyware. MUCH more thurough than the search window method and the manual registry cleaning.
