Computer keeps spontaneously shutting down when I log on?
My computer keeps shutting down when I log on. Anyone know what could be causing this>

It's funny I have just been trying to help someone with that exact same problem.
More than likely it is using the DCOM RPC exploit. Symantec as of a few minutes ago issued this W32.blaster.worm security response. This is probably going to be a big one. |

Hi!
I had the same problem with my laptop shutting down. Turns out it was a virus that the latest security download from microsoft took care of. No problems since. |

Same thing happened to my sister's computer(she has XP home edition). It was aggravating because she was on dial-up and it seemed like forever to get the download before it shutdown. I finally did and all is well now.
