Web pages not fully loading
Hi All,
Been having some problems with IE Ver 6.0 for awhile and I am getting fed up with it. For some reason when I go to a page the browser does not fully load the page. I am left with those scattered boxes with the red X in them. However, when I right click on the box and select show picture it will then display most or all of the page that was missing. However this can become tedious when there are 20 or 30 little red X's to click on. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for the help. |

This problem has popped up for me and a couple of other board members plus plenty of other IE users. It seems to be a problem that can have many causes. Here are some possible solutions. I hope one of these helps you out.
First, check for a file named "HOSTS" on your hard drive. Rename it to something like HOSTSBAK. If that doesn't help then check for these two registry keys, and delete them. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\PROTOCOLS\Name-Space Handler\ftp] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\PROTOCOLS\Name-Space Handler\http] This is a MS Knowledge base artice about the problem: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=283807 If none of the above help then this link http://www.generation.net/~hleboeuf/ieimage.htm contains info about this type of problem and has links to more MS articles regarding the problem. |
