Flash player for Mozilla Firebird
I just downloaded firebird last night and I'm haveing trouble installing the flashplayer plugin. I already have the setup file from installing it on to mozilla 1.4. But when it gives a list of browsers to install it on, only Mozilla 1.4 shows up. I tried going to the firebird folder useing the browse button but it says "couldn't find the browser's plugins folder"
How do I install flash player?

I have tried without success also. Maybe, since you dont install it, its not in the registry, so the flash installer dosent know its there.
Wait till 1.0 or 1.x comes out, it should be an installer, and have flash support. HTH |

Type about:plugins in the address bar of the browser. It'll show you what you have installed and link to a help file that details how to add others.

OK, I did that and found out that I need to add registry files. How do I do that?
This is what I need to add [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Mozilla\Mozilla Firebird] "GeckoVer"="1.0.1" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Mozilla\Mozilla Firebird\bin] "PathToExe"="D:\\MozillaFirebird\\MozillaFirebird.exe" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Mozilla\Mozilla Firebird\Extensions] "Plugins"="D:\\MozillaFirebird\\Plugins" "Components"="D:\\MozillaFirebird\\Components" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\mozilla.org\Mozilla] "CurrentVersion"="1.0" |

Glad ya figured it out but for future reference when you need to add a list of registry settings like that, you can copy that text into a txt file, save it with the extension .reg, and just right click on it and select install.

I thought thats how it was done, but I didn't want to risk messing up the registry.
