I have a yahoo mail account. It's pretty decent and I can access it anywhere.
Well anyways, when I try to login to my mail account, I type in user and pw. It says that I typed in an invalid password. I type the info again and it logs on. I tried it a handful of times, each time making it sure as hell that I entered the right info. But it keeps saying invalid password every time I try to login for the 1st time. I ran updated versions of sbybot, adaware, swat it, NAV. ZA and the SMC router are on. So I am pretty sure that it's not a virus/trojan/worm/etc. Except for cookies, the system is clean. I don't see any change in performance/setting. The screen turned black and the system seemed to freeze for a few sec. But I think it's because I am running a lot of progs at 1 time. I had a similar issue with my old ME PC and it was a virus. Yahoo is the only site giving me this problem. Other sites are working fine. Any thoughts/comments? ![]() ***edit It seemed to be back to normal when I cleared the temp folder. Wished I took a peak 1st b4 deleting it.

Do you go to the yahoo mail login screen thru a link? (In your favorites?) If so, delete it. Type in http://mail.yahoo.com, go there, make a new bookmark of that page.
Also try clearing out your cookies, temp internet files, and history. |

I once had exactly the same problem with yahoo mail.
However never worried about it. It went away when I did a fresh instalation of my OS, not because of the yahoo issue. ![]() But now that is brought to our attention, it would be nice to know the causes of it. Alex123 |

Generally weird sh$t like that is caused by the web page having updated or moved and the user still has an old cookie or cached page. Deleting the cookies and cache therefore writes a new cookie and the updated page. Having an old link in favorites to a moved page would cause something like page cannot be found or some other obscure windows message.
