IE 6.0 Ughhh

Im running IE 6.0 on Win XP. Any time I go to a secure website It will not display it. Ive trying reinstalling SP1 and setting all browser setting to their defaults. I did nothing to cause this, It just started happening.

Are you running any firewall software? Try disabling that and testing.
Are these secure websites asking for username/password? Are they stored on your computer? What is the error message that you are getting when trying to display secure sites?

I use sygate. Its not that. What happens is; I on whenever I try to check out of cart on a website, I supposed to go to the encrypted tunnel. Instead I get this "The Page Cannot Be Displayed" It happens on every website where I try to check out on. Amazon, Newegg, Googlegear any of them.

Thanks for the reply.

Check out the sygate support website (its a forum) http://www.sygate.com/support/support_switch.htm ; it seems to have a number of people getting errors with secure sites and how to change settings.

You're welcome!
Check out our Security forums as well, a number of people have differing opinions and recommendations in the which firewall is better discussions. There are some who even like Sygate. Sometimes there are configuration errors with software of this nature, but if the changes to configuration are too cumbersome then you'd be better off switching to something else.
Either way, good luck with safe browsing.
