Why are so many Warez sites worthless?
While I've gotten some useful software from some warez sites, it seems the vast majority are worthless. You click on one and it leads you to another and then another and they all want you to vote for them. I immediately delete the ones that want you to give your email address. They're obviously looking to harvest addresses for spammers. But what's the deal here, are they getting some kind of advertising revenue by saying " hey, we get this much traffic". If someone could explain it to me I'd be very grateful.
Please no lectures on why I shouldn't be cruising warez sites. Thanks. |

those sites are worthless because maybe (just maybe) wares are illegal. They will get shut down if they really harbor true wares.

They are not worthless. They plant trojans! They are worse than worthless.

Those sites exist to make money from harvesting names.
