CAnnot Log on to MSN Messenger!
Hi, I am unable to log onto MSN Messenger. I can access yahoo msgr, the Internet etc. When I try to log on to MSN.. it tells me to check my internet connection, or try again, later. I checked the server status and says it is up and running / stable! I tried re-installing MSN msgr 6.0 (win 98SE OS) and then it prompted me to 'repair' or remove' I chose repair. Still didn't resolve the issue. Suggestions? __________________ KAB

Well my friend had a problem on his Mac OS 9 computer with MSN and ended up having to use the Spanish version(he is in 2nd year spanish so not everthing looks foreign
) and it started to work. Still have no idea why it did this but if ya happen to know some other language a lil bit then maybe you could try it Oh ya, and there is also another person I know, using Windows 98se i think, and her MSN doesn't work at all. Won't sign in or work at all. Multiple reinstalls haven't helped. Maybe you could try deleting it(uninstalling I guess) and then clear out all the remaning bits and pieces that may still be on your system like in the registry or in a folder. Then try redownloading and installing again. Sorry I really don't know much about Windows 98, but maybe something above will work |

I had a friend who could not upgrade to Messenger 6 no matter what he tried. His problem was that the version of JAVA, and Active X controls were both older and neede updating. After he went to the MS site and updated his windows and IE it started to work.
