What would be needed to set up a database for a RV dealer, and to have it be accessable from a website(ie, through a search function to list them)? I am in the process of learning PHP and mySQL, so am I on the right track or should I learn something else?
What would be the best thing to set the database up in? He has a program that he uses to manage all the inventory, and he said something about there being an option for each item to "list on web" or something like that, so I think it would be possible with the program(dont know anything about the program tho, just spoke breifly about it). But is there a better way? also if anyone knows of any tutorials or writeups on how to do this, those would be appreciated. Thanks ^ dan |

I think PHP/mySQL would be good for this application. I'd recommend a book called "PHP and MySQL Web Development" to get started.

I use PHP/MySQL on all e-commerce sites that I work on. Those can accomplish the task.
Nice book DrZ. I'll most likely go and buy it if I don't find it in my local library.
