Hi,
I am using Serv-U FTP server but also have the same problem with other ftp servers. Basically, I have a small home LAN, comprisomg of 2 PC's. PC NO.1 running Win98Se, with ICS, and Sygate Firewall & Sev-U, and has 2 NICS as also has a cable modem attached PC NO.2 connected to PC NO.1 via a crossover cable and running Win2k. The problem is that I cannot, nor other's gain access, to PC. NO1 if I change the port setting to say 27015. This is even with the firewall turned off. If though its set to the standard port 21, you can get access but alot of the time the system hangs when retrieving directory listing. I have been told maybe this is due to a conflict with the home ip on this PC, which is set to 192.168.0.1, and the dynamic one as needed for my cable modem. But how do I solve the problem as I do not want my ftp server on port 21, but port 27015 or similar. Any ideas, Scott |
