Update Equals No Browsing
A bud keeps calling me after he installs the Win Update for IE6. He can't browse afterwards so I walk him through the steps to restore the previous version which then works. What could be going wrong?

What connection is he using? Has he run the internet connection wizard after the update? Also, with some connections, the automatic connection discovery is real problematic.

If he's using Win98, stay with the previous version. IE6 and Win98 have a 50-50 chance of coexisting well.
