Netscape 7.x and downloads

On my WINXP computer I have both IE 6.0 and Netscape 7.1 prefering IE for browsing and Netscape for Mail. Sometimes when I use Netscape for browsing and see a file to download or a picture I want to save to disk, I have problems. Clicking on the file to download, the Netscape dialog box pops up and asks what I want to do with the file usually adding a PCX suffix to the file.

Has anyone else seen this problems or have any ideas how to fix it. Earlier versions of Netscape have worked just fine for downloading or saving files to disk without this PCX suffix.

Either the browser or the server is wrong in how it's handling PCX files (which are just image files).

Not sure what Netscape's problem is but I would recommend getting rid of it and going with Mozilla instead. Netscape development has been halted, it's all but dead. Mozilla is still being developed and supported and is the source for Netscape's code anyways.
