When I am online I periodically receive a java script error
telling me to update my browser to the latest version. I have Netscape 4.75. It also says if I have the latest version that I should uninstall and reinstall. How do I do this? I am a novice at this type of thing. |

I wouldn't worry about it - Netscape will give you javascript errors from time to time - so does MSIE as a matter of fact.

Remember when Netscape sued Microsoft a few years back? That's my idea.
Yes, Netscape crashes notoriously under Win9x, but the same browser is rock solid in Unix, Linux, and on a Mac. You do the math. Microsoft knows what's good for ya, after all... For a quick explanation of why you get the script errors in all likelihood, check my post at the end of this thread... http://206.161.202.65/forum/showthre...?threadid=7489 A site full of "Internet Explorer optimized" scripts will flat out crash Netscape in most instances. I personally turn off javascript, since with it off you avoid popup banners and other such nonsense. Xayd |
