IE 6 Protection??

Today the browser started acting funny - either wouldn't load home page, or would load and when clicking a bookmark it went to http://a.rn11.com in the address bar (which I didn't select and everything froze. A window came on and said in the title bar **UPDATE** PRIVACY PROTECTION**UPDATE . Had to ctrl-alt-del to exit out. Ad Aware, SpyBot nor ZA Pro shows anything unusual. Doesn't behave this way using Mozilla Firebird. I'm very suspicious. Using DSL, btw and it's always on of course, but pc isn't.

Sure sounds like spyware. If you didn't update Spybot or AdAware before running the scan, do so and then scan again.

If that's not it, get CWShredder and run it (link to the download is near the bottom of the page).

Finally, if the problem persists, (this is a shot in the dark), go to this page and get the Qhosts removal tool and run it.
