I don't get it
Why does Internet Explorer 6 seem to have amnesia? I keep setting the email program to Hotmail so it doesn't open Outlook Express. It keeps setting it to OE!!! I don't even have to close IE and it will be set back to OE. I don't get it. WHY is it doing this?

I don't use Outhouse and never have, but is there a tick that says make it your default mail application? If so it may be overriding your other selections. Just a hunch...

I don't use OE either but in the settings it says "Outlook Express is NOT the default mail application".

Hotmail is not an email program. You set IE for Hotmail and it will still have to use OE

There are options in IE for what to use for Email. They are as follows: Outlook Express, Hotmail, MSN Explorer. When I set it to Hotmail it will take me to my Hotmail inbox on the website. However, It keeps changing to OE.

Without being at your PC I don't know what you have going on. I know with Yahoo I simply go to their site, login and get my mail; have done it for years. I was assuming Hotmail operates the same.

Hotmail does operate the same way. I just want to use the mail button on in IE. It seems to be staying where I want it now.
