Exclamation Connection Problems...

For the past 3 days I've had a problem with my Cox@Home Connection... yes I've called Cox, and they've sent a repair man by... He said that my splitters had too much water in them, and we needed to buy their cable because supposedly mine wasnt good quality. So I do that... Connections fine... But now like every 5 -15 minutes the cable light goes out on my modem and I get cut off. So everytime i unplug the modem and replug the power and the cable BACK into it... it find the signal again(forgot the technical term for that) and I'm good to go... Then what do you know... 5 -15 minutes later i loose my connection again? ANy advice or have you had experience with the same type of problem?

Here are my specs if needed...
Asus a7v-e
Tbird 900mhz
512mb Kingsotn ram pc133
Maxtor 30gb 7200 rpm drive
Linksys Ether-Net Card
Hercules 5.1 Gaming Theater Sound
Toshiba Cable Modem
Lite On CD Burner
Lite on DVD Drive
Windows XP Home

Any more information you need .. I will be glad to give it... thanks

What kind of crap is that?? You have other issues with them - call 'em back.

If all of your cable connctions are tight and if the issue continues it is definately a Cox problem. Is your cable undergorund or dropped from over head? A lot of times there will be a bad drop or bad junction box if underground that need replacing. This too howvere is a Cox issue. I agree with Sarge. Call the )#$&@#)@&*%_ back and get them to fix it. I hope they didn't charge you for that cable.
