New Windows in IE
Does anyone out there know a way to ensure that when you click to create anew window in IE 6 (running in XP Home) that it is always maximised.

Do you mean, when you click on the Internet Explorer icon you want it to open up maximised?
If so, right click on the internet explorer icon and go to properties, under the shortcut icon, where it says "Run", in the dropdown list next to it change it to maximised.

There is no "fix" for the problem but there is a workaround.
IE remembers the size of the last secondary window closed and uses that for all future secondary windows...unless you resize it using the Maximize button, then all bets are off. The steps for forcing all secondary windows to open maximized: 1. Open IE 2. Open a link in a new window 3. Close the original window 4. Drag the remaining window to the size and placement you want, do not use the maximize button 5. Close the window you just resized All future secondary windows will open maximized. |

Great suggestion SimonFF worked fine, I was using the method Miz discribed to get the maximize affect but everytime I resized the window I had to go through the whole procedure to get it up to the full size again, now I won't have to go through with that. Btw, now new windows from the shortcut icon the desktop icon and from within Internet Explorer all open up maximized.

Thanks SImon but not really what I am after. I will try your solution though Miz and see how it works.
