Unhappy

We're on the waiting list for cable modem installation so I figured "Why not send the daughter off to college with the modem from my PC at home since I won't be needing it much longer and all she wants is e-mail function, not enough serious surfing to hook up ethernet in her dorm." So then I think "Why not install that old 33.6 INT from work in the meantime? Don't know where the drivers are but surely win98 will have them for such an old device." I was wrong. And the manufacturer's website says "no longer in business, don't ask for help if your drivers aren't listed."
They aren't. So then I find the floppy at work and discover that it has been overwritten...*sheesh*.
Can anybody help me find drivers for an Atlas 33.6K INT Fax/Data Modem? I'd sure appreciate it...

Thanks for your quick response lil Jimmie. I was out of town (taking the kid to college) and just got back. I downloaded the drivers, but WIN 98 still says it can't find the drivers for it. Must have more than one model with diffenent drivers is all I can figure. Any place else I might search? Thanks again.

Thanks Jim...errr...Jim(s)!!
I tried the archives but links to activate downloads are dead. Sorry to be such a pain, if you can think of anything else...I'd be glad to hear, otherwise, I'll wait for the cable guy. Until then..

Driverguide has a database problem. Keep trying, the links will work. They're working on the system over there, trying to speed it up, so a few things may take a day or two.
Of the links, the second one is probably your best bet.

Edit: Just found this, it's got what you need.

Thanks for the links, I really appreciate the help. I dl'd and unzipped them, put them in A: drive and win98 still couldn't find them. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, and at this point it's natural to assume that I've got the wrong modem. Can you tell me how to identify this thing?

Model:FB WS-5614PM3C

I only find and FCC Reg No:409TAI-27413-M5-E.

Is this enough info? Thanks again.

Hold on: I think I'm getting to the bottom of this on my own...sorry for the trouble.

The key is in the model number. 5614PM3C means that it's a Livingston Portmaster III modem.
Try looking for drivers for that.

Red face

It came out of the box for the 33.6 atlas...*Blush*
I'm thinking of the old ASUUME means "make an ass out of you and me" phrase. Thanks for your patience. And sorry I wasted other's time...
