Parental programs for AIM and internet
Hello everyone, need some help with this one. A friend of mine has a 14 year old daughter that they have caught doing some questionable things on Aol instant messanger with a webcam. They came to me and asked me if there is a free program that would let them monitor her conversations and maybe block the screename of the other individual without her knowing. I didnt know of any such programs so i came here to ask. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Confiscate the webcam and move the computer out of her room into a public area in the house. There is no software substitute for direct supervision.

ok, well they already confiscated the webcam, and the computer was in the living room. The problem is, because of work schedule and a single family house, the daughter is alone for 2-3 hours a day after school, and he would like to be able to log her conversations. What free program could do this?

Check out this web site. It has several programs. Find the one that would best suit your need. Some of them are freeware, while others are shareware.

Since she has abused her privacy privelage. I agree with glc. You should put it in public view. But get some SPY-ware and make sure it has a keystroke logger. So you can read everything she types. A good place for some spyware is www.downloads.com.
