"Page Cannot be Displayed"

I've recently set up a wireless network to my computer, and it was working fine up until last night. A few of you might know that I had a few problems, and I then reinstalled/repaired Windows XP. When we tried anything it would say something about not being able to initialize windows sockets or something. I removed WinSock2 from the registry, restarted, and now I am able to ping other computers on my network without a problem. I am now connected to the network, but no longer to the internet. Everytime I try starting IE it says "Page cannot be displayed". Is there something I can do to get my internet connection back? Please help.
