AOL firewall problem

my friend has AOL for broadband and it has a firewall
but the firewall causes many connection problems while trying to play games (battlefield 1942)
any one kno how to fix this or how to disable the AOL firewall entirely?

Send a message via AIM to HNPFL
Since its a new product your best bet is to contact the AOL tech support.

It's McAfee Firewall. Look for that in add/remove programs and uninstall it. NOTE that using broadband without a firewall is like going into a pneumonia ward without a facemask.

maybe that will help my friend but i dont think he'll want to expose himself to dangers without a firewall
but i have a norton firewall up and it doesnt cause any interference when i play games
is there such a big difference between these two that mcaffee causes so much interference?

I am not a fan of either the McAfee or the Norton firewall. The secret, if you call it that, is in the configuration.
