AOL firewall problem
my friend has AOL for broadband and it has a firewall
but the firewall causes many connection problems while trying to play games (battlefield 1942) any one kno how to fix this or how to disable the AOL firewall entirely? |

Since its a new product your best bet is to contact the AOL tech support.

It's McAfee Firewall. Look for that in add/remove programs and uninstall it. NOTE that using broadband without a firewall is like going into a pneumonia ward without a facemask.

maybe that will help my friend but i dont think he'll want to expose himself to dangers without a firewall
but i have a norton firewall up and it doesnt cause any interference when i play games is there such a big difference between these two that mcaffee causes so much interference? |

I am not a fan of either the McAfee or the Norton firewall. The secret, if you call it that, is in the configuration.
