For my work I now have only access to the internet through my laptop and mobile. I am dreading the first phone bill coming as my monthly call plan does not cover 0845 numbers.

Is there any packages in the UK that anyone knows of to keep the bills down?

The best solution would be to use a landline phone socket, by subscribing to an internet package such as AOL (don't like it myself, others swear by it) you can take your internet anywhere without any extra charges, that means if you take your laptop to someone else (eg an office), all you need do is plug it in and it will dial an 0800 number, the charge will only be made on your monthly subscription fee - not on the phone bill.

However... if you need to be truely mobile and mobile modems are your only solution - then i'm not sure, anyone?
