Try another browser - like Opera with the Sun Java or IE with the M$ VM. I just tried it with Mozilla and it's screaming for a MS Java VM plugin, which I ain't installing. It loads fine in Opera with Sun.

Interesting - I just tried it with ALL my browsers.
Opera 7.23 with Sun 1.42_02 - success Mozilla 1.5 - says I need to get the Sun Java plugin. This is strange - it's the same thing I installed for Opera. Firebird 0.7 - same as Mozilla IE 5.01 with Sun 1.42_02 - red X, don't want to reboot to enable the M$ VM to try it. Netscape 4.79 - success I went back and followed the plugin install for Mozilla, and it reinstalled the same JRE, but it still won't load the applet, still says I need a plugin. Java is enabled in preferences. Went to the Java plugin control in control panel and tried to enable it for Mozilla but it won't let me - says the browser isn't installed correctly or I don't have permission to change browser settings. Lesson learned? Don't put all your eggs in one basket, use multiple browsers - *especially* if you don't like IE. Last edited by glc; 12-08-2003 at 01:29 AM. |

lol
cool, yea I installed Opera and it worked fine, I never could get it to work with IE, and I rebooted several times enabling and disabling the M$ VM thingy, it did work for netscape 4.7 on my old power mac. I totally agree though, there is no one best browser, some work better on some sites and some things and others work.......... |
