strange links in my web browser

Hi,

Im using IE6 and strange links are appearing in my web browser ...it seems to search out words like "finance" or "travle" or " gambling" and creats a goto: link

Think it was an official link for the web sites I click on it and Im taken off to some crappy search engin.

can anyone help me ?

I presume this is some sort of spyware or virus that has changed my registry ??

Download and Install Spybot Search and Destroy http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/fil...d,22262,00.asp and Adaware www.lavasoftusa.com and run them to get rid of the BHO (Browser Helper Object) and any other ad ware.
After you get rid of it go to the link below and download/install Start Page Guard which will help to prevent this type of infection.

You should also do a scan with your anti-virus program, if you do not have an anti-virus program or it has expired, you can get a free one at www.grisoft.com
All the above programs are free. But be sure to get all the updates for the definitions for all the programs. On Spybot the use the FlixUSA mirror for the upgrades.
