http:///?%20?!?!?!

hey everyone,

my cousin is trying to set up her own website. i gave her a few pointers on where to get the domain and some good hosts. she filled out all the info and submitted it. she didn't quite set up the nameservers right, so i resubmitted those about 3 days ago. now when i type in her address of www.mycousinssite.com it directs me to http:///?%20mycousinssite.com. does anyone have any idea why this would be doing it? i'm guessing somewhere along the way my cousin might've accidentally put a space in an inaproprate place, but i don't know where. any help is appreciated.

%20 does indicate a space. It couldn't be done at the registar level since a space is not allowed in a domain name. More than likely the host made an incorrect entry into the DNS record. Do a nslookup or a dig on the domain name.

Nothing looks wrong there with the A records though you edited them for privacy.

I would check with the host since it is probably on their end.

yea, i edited them, but i used word for word replacement, so even though the word itself is different, the information is still basically the same.
