Can't open IE
I was trying to remove some spyware that kept chaning my IE homepage but now I can't even open up IE anymore.
I edited a couple of registry keys but the problem started after a deleted a program under C:/Windows/ I can't remember the exact name of the program but it was something like qsw.exe and had a little pic of 3 blocks with letters on the face of each block corresponding to the excutable file name. It was just above the C/Windows/regedit.exe file. The only way I can access the internet now is through Netscape. What can I do to get IE up and running again? P.S. I'm going to do a fresh install of Windows XP Pro tomorrow (for an unrelated matter), so will IE work properly after I install a new OS? Thanks!! Last edited by Daedalus FB; 12-11-2003 at 08:41 PM. |

IE will be good after the clean install, but you might want to try a repair of XP first, it may save you from a clean install.

Even easier:
Put the XP CD in the drive, dismiss the autorun. Start - Run - type the following: sfc /scannow |
