address drop down box

I recently cleared history to get rid of all addresses. Now explorer will not keep the addresses in there at all. It is set to keep the addresses for 20 days. I would like to have the sites I frequent in there. Any help would be appreciated!

In my experience, it seems that IE only keeps addresses in that box that you type directly into the address box. Are you sure you are doing that?

Yes, I am typing directly into the address box and it is not retaining the addresses.

Go back into IE>Tools>Internet Options>Content tab>Auto Complete button and make sure you didn't accidently uncheck the "Web addresses" box. If you did, recheck it and click OK to save the change.
