Perplexing Mozilla Firebird problem
I just tried installing the windows Flash plugin for Mozilla firebird. The installer did not show my browser in the list of browsers so I downloaded and installed the .reg file provided on the Mozilla plugin site. It installed seemingly with no problem. Then when I reopen it, it is no longer Firebird, but just plain Mozilla, it does not display any pages, even html files stored locally, and my favorites seem to be gone.
My question is this, is there any way to save my bookmarked sites? I have not backed them up in over two months. I bet reinstalling Firebird would fix any problems but I don't want to in fear that it might delete the favorites. |

Search for bookmarks.html, that's the whole thing. Open it in any browser to confirm.

I did so, and all it found was the default bookmarks.html in the defaults directory. It looks like my favorites were lost. At least I haven't added too many sites since the last backup. I'm still curious how Firebird could have morphed into Mozilla though.
