which version of outlook is it
you should really use the e-mail address that your isp gave you not all versions of outlook will allow you to use the hotmail account, at least I don't think so, but we can try it put mail.hotmail.com for both entries |

look at your contract
it has to be listed there you need some sort of username and password. you could call them and ask them the info you need. |

You might have to contact Hotmail to get their server names for incoming and outgoing.

I have sbc it is pop.sbcglobal.net and smtp.sbcglobal.net that is for email from sbc for hotmail you will have to call them, I do not know. Your user name with sbc is the whole email address like this xxxxxx@sbcglobal.net that is the user name.

With my Outlook, you just click 'Tools', 'Email Acounts'., then 'Add new email account', then click HTTP, this should then take you to a screen with Hotmail as the default. Then all you do in fill in your user name, email account, and password. Outlook will take care of the rest, just click next.
