Whenever I try to sign on hotmail it takes FOREVER to get on. However, when I try to go to other sites it comes up quick. Only a few random sites take FOREVER to show up. WOW its making me mad. I need to do stuff on for school and I can't even get my own e-mail. it takes like 5 min each time. I have cable connection that is split with a cable/dsl router (linksys). This problem happened like 2 months ago and it went away some how (before i had router). My brothers internet is working fine. Can ANYONE help me?? Please i would appreciate the help.

Get another Internet mail address and you will save yourself a lot of heartache. Hotmail has a reputation for being slow and prone to hack ins and Netscape Internet mail (not the browser email) had a reputation for being the slowest of all.

It has to do with their slow email servers and there is nothing you can do about it.

Maybe you can find out which ones have the fastest email servers and then sign up with one of them.

I don't know if altavista or google have email servers but both their search engines are pretty fast especially Google. I don't know if Google has internet mail but I'm 90 percent sure Altavista does.

Get a "Juno.com email Free Account" They have been in the net for so long now. At leasts even if you could not access your local ISP, you could just click Juno and read your emails as long as you have a telephone line.

You got to download there software though. I use their Free email, but I did not subscribe with their paid Web Surf.

Yahoo mail is very reliable and quick - but you will get tons of spam. I would still take it over Hotmail any time.
