Netscape 7.1 Fails to Launch After Install
On 12/19 I posted a problem with Netscape 7.1 failing to launch after a fresh reload of the win98 OS.
It turns out a file in the Windows /System directory called oleaut32.dll needs to be replaced with the version 2.30.4265(as seen in file properties), size 598288, or later.
I downloaded the most recent file from dllfiles.com and replaced it.
This has to be done through DOS as the file is in use when Windows is running.
Netscape 7.1 needed to be uninstalled, the file replaced, and reinstalled.
