I read somewhere on this site that there is a way to make your temp internet files be stored to your RAM rather than hard drive and I wanted to know how to do the trick on XP...can anybody help?

Thanks

First, you need RAM. So you need spare RAM. And w/e you d/l you must actually save to a HD b/c upon shutdown it's all lost. Second, what if you wanna d/l a game demo? You will need to d/l to a larger drive.

The first computer I ever used was a Mac about 5 years ago and it was common knowlege to create and use a Ram disk to increase your browsing speed.

I have a 256 meg ramdisk, on XP, with 1 gig of RAM.
I stick all sorts of things in it. Software installs, temp, temp internet, and also use it as a virtual DVD and SVCD.
No noticable slowdowns, and is usually much faster at most things than the hard drive.
