ad-aware beginner

hi everyone,

My computer has ground down to a go slow and the pop-ups are driving me crazy, if it goes any slower it will come to a full stop. I have been reading through the forum and have downloaded Ad-aware and Spybot.
So far i have installed and run Ad-aware and read the log. It shows 140 instances of spyware or adware and 42 Tracking cookies, i un-ticked all the spyware boxes, just leaving the cookes ticked and clicked the quarantine button and it automatically removed them.
I want to remove the spyware but they nearly all give Data = lsp.dll, original file name = LSP.DLL (this is an example from SahAgent. Do i just click quarantine, and let it do the same thing or does the original file name need to be put back?
Will things work if it is removed?
I noticed it had taken out the cookie for PCMech and had to log in. Although none of the cookies specified PCMech.

Thanks in advance.

I always delete everything that ad-aware and spybot find and have not had any problems. Also, download Spyware Blaster- a link can be found in Spybot. This will keep most spyware from being put on your computer.

It's not a bad idea to download LSPFix and keep a copy on the harddrive (it's only 182K).

If removing any spyware does mess up internet access, running LSPFix will usually fix it.

It's weird, I ran Ad-Aware for the first time last night, and ever since then I've been getting these really werid popups, that take up the whole screen. And I've been having lots of problems with IE (see the thread I made in this forum). With AOL and Google toolbar blockers, I havn't gotten a single popup in months before this.

Thanks for the replies. It is just deleting it that bothers me. I would hate for things not to work afterwards.
