My Site: Passworded Sub-Directories

My ISP provides web space for me which I can FTP to upload stuff. Is there a way to create a sub-directy that's has a different login/password than what I use so my friends cans upload in that space only? I imagine they would go to the site directly like "isp.com/users/me/friend"

I normally use .htaccess and .htpasswd on Apache servers in order to password protect directories. I am not sure if you can use it since I'm not that familiar with it. But there are numerous tutorials if you search in google.

Probably not (htaccess only controls the ability to read, it won't give you upload ability).

But what you might check into is the ability to have multiple email/web accounts with your ISP. Most of them give you 3 or 4.
