How can I dial-up the internet from my hotel/motel room when one has to dial "9" to access a local outside number?
I have an older laptop with a 56K modem installed. Net Zero and my ISP have provided me with local numbers around California when I travel. However, I can get the thing to work. What am I doing wrong? I tried pluging the computer into the phone and directly into the RJ11 jack no luck. Help! Al You may also email me at liz_1990@yahoo.com, ecycleit@sbcglobal.net or answer in this forum. |

Somewhere in the Internet setup there is an option to put that number in.Its in Control Panel/Modem. The Dialing Rules tab,My Location/Edit.This is for XP but dont know what program you are running but it will be in this area somewhere.
