Browser?
Hi all,
Has anybody ever run into the following problem: you are on the intenet surfing along and all of a sudden you come to link or picture or a button which you click on in order to see what's behind but nothing happens, You click again and you notice that something is trying to show up for a split second and then disappears. I had always ignored it thinking it had to do with my security and privacy settings and I said to myself:''Ok, you don't want to show me,shuff it''. But yesterday the problem came to bite me.I was going to install a router and everything went fine untill I was about halfway and clicked on the next button and nothing happened but a split second showing. I tried and tried, lowered all the safety setting to its lowest and even removed my Ad-aware program.I decided to find help in the troubeshooting section of D-Link(the maker of the router), selected my model(DI514), clicked and nada.I than decided to click on another model # and it opened, I checked some more I found that some would open and some would not. I am asking you, isn't this something or what? If you know the answer PLEASE tell me jzeum. |

Since no one answered yet, I can only tell you to try and use another browser, Mozilla for example. I know what you're talking about, it's happened to me before too, I'd also like to know why this happens.

do you have any popup blockers installed?
and what OS is this? At one of my jobs they had something exactly like what you're describing that the network administrator implemented in order to control our online activity. |

Problem corrected.
A D-Link technician suggested to check the Java Virtual machine. I did but it did not correct it.I do have an upgraded Virtual machine however.Want to check your Java? Open this http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp There is a test to check if your Virtual machine is working correct. So what was wrong? I was still running a program called: ''IE New Window Maximizer'' by jiiSoft and that did it. Thank you all for helping. jzeum. |
