Download HijackThis and delete any entries involving Incredifind.

To get rid of Incredifind (aka KeenValue), follow these steps:
(1)Run Adaware and Spybot to get rid of all other spyware on your system. (Note: These programs will NOT get rid of Incredifind, but it will get rid of all other existing spyware. Also, these programs can be found at download.com) (2)Ok...open up regedit (Start, Run, type in regedit). Do a find (press F3) for incredifind and delete any corresponding values. (3)Go to C:\Program Files, locate the Incredifind folder and delete it. (4)Assuming you use Internet Explorer, open it up, go to Tools in the menu bar and click Internet Options. Go to the Advanced tab and click Restore Defaults and OK. (5)Go ahead and try to access the Internet again. At download.com, there is software called bazooka (haven't used it myself) but it supposedly gets rid of incredifind. I believe a program named HijackThis was mentioned at PCMechanic that gets rid of incredifind, but I haven't tried this one either. one meg short of a gig, jsanchez |

I had a hijack home page problem like that a couple of months ago which Spybot did not fix. And I don't think the Hijackthis program fixed it either. I think it was a program called CWshredder that finally fixed it. But I am only about 80 percent sure it was that program because I was throwing everything but a sledgehammer at it so it could have been something else. I don't even know how CWshredder differs from the other programs, I just threw it at it and I think it worked since it disappeared.

Found your solution to this annoying incredifind thru a yahoo search, and THANK YOU!! I did d/l and use bazooka, which did find that and some others I had on here that spybot didnt. FYI-- I feel both programs are very helpful, since I consider myself computer illiterate!! Bazooka-very detailed removal instructions, SpyBot-all automatic Thanks again!!

I found some valuable info among your posts. Could I ask if any of you think it is OK to run programs such as Spybot and Adaware together. I already use Adaware but I wasn't to sure if I would need the Spyware. If it is a good idea what would be a good combo.

Yes, it's ok to run them together as they each sometimes don't find a particular problem. You might have some issues with the backups that each scanner makes of spyware before deleting it (to make sure you can rollback any changes), since the other scanner sometimes finds those backups as spyware themselves. Other than that, it should work.
