E-mail links don't work?

This just started:

When I click on a weblink in an e-mail, the browser (Opera) does not startup. I get a "Locate Link Browser" window.

Any of you fine people seen this before and know what to do to fix it?

Make sure that Opera is set to be your default web browser. In Opera, it should be File/Prefences to make sure that it is your default browser.

I went into preferences and made sure that Opera is the default browser. I also set Opera to handle all file types and protocols. Rebooted my system and started E-mail client. Clicked on a link and Opera does not start up and go to the requested link. Dang!

E-mail client is Mozilla Thunderbird. Browser is Opera. It appears to be working correctly now. Here's something else I've found since switching from Microsoft products:

I've found that I can't get logged in to StormPay. It will ALWAYS say that I've entered and incorrect "turing" number. But, if I attempt login using IE it works EVERY time. Anyone else ever have a similar problem and know what could be wrong with Opera?

The turing number is 6 digits. The numbers are partially shaded and tilted at different angles. A person can read them but apparently programs written to auto-login have difficulty with it. It is used as a security tool. I'm just curious about why it would work with one browser and not another.

And I just discovered that I can login here at PCMech, read forums and begin to post a reply. But when I hit the submit button, it says I am not logged in. So, I've posted this using IE (I hope).
