internet hosting
I want to be able to post files on a Website so that my friends can download the files from anywhere. I don’t want to pay for a professional web hosting service and all of the free sites I have tried limit me to 2mb files. Is it possible for me to run something on my computer for free that would allow me to create my own server? Im looking to have 30 mb files on it. I am running win 98se on a thinkpad 600x.

It's possible to run your own FTP server using IIS, (I'll post the web page later to get your own FTP IP address for free). I believe Angelfire has 50 Megs of storage space to.

for about 2 bucks a month you can get like 300 megs of storage if you look around www.hostsearch.com
