Apache Server
I just installed an Apache server and was just wondering what to do next. I already have experience in HTML and was wondering where to add the HTML in. Right now, when I go to the server from another computer, it brings up one of those screens where it just lists the files (Parent Directory, appserv, etc...). How do I make it so the main page is not that, but an HTML page written by me.
Any help would be appreciated

If it just lists the files that means that Directory browsing is on, which is a bad thing and that there is no index(.htm , .html) file in that directory. The home page would need to be named such.
All of apache's config is in the httpd.conf file. |
