Parked Domains

Say you have two domains, evo.com and evo.net . You only got evo.net so that no one else could get it. But if someone types in evo.net, you want them to go to evo.com. So basically evo.net is a parked domain. It doesn't go to anywhere but another site. You can park a domain at a host or at a registar. Some charge to park one, most don't. The only difference would be if you park a domain at a registar, their nameserver points it whereas if you park it a host, their nameserver points it.

A registar would call it domain forwarding. They can forward a domain to a sub-domain, a directory or a page. It is the same thing. Your domain is parked at the registar and requests to that domain are forwarded elsewhere.
